Global Remediation Services Inc. located in East Taunton, MA is a full service environmental remediation company servicing clients throughout the East Coast. Global Remediation provides transportation and disposal of all types of wastes, industrial maintenance and power plant outage work, site remediation, emergency spill response and aboveground and underground storage tank cleaning and removal services. Global Remediation is seeking a motivated Class A or B CDL driver to join our team.

Required Job Responsibilities

  • Required to uphold the company health & safety protocols and procedures.
  • Must have the ability to work in teams. Global drivers work directly with Global Remediation field staff and our client representatives.
  • Must have 2+ years of experience with at least one of the following;
    • Vacuum Truck or Tanker
    • Roll off TruckAbility to transport and offload both hazardous and non-hazardous waste at disposal facilities.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste manifests, bill of ladings (BOL’s), and other shipping documents. Paperwork must be completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring the work sites are kept clean and orderly. Drivers are also responsible for checking the work area to ensure tools and equipment are not left onsite.
  • Will be a member of a rotating “on-call” emergency response team.
  • Ability to install roll off liners/covers, setup hoses, and may require lifting items up to 50+lbs.
  • May require travel for up to two weeks a year.

Required Licensing and Certifications

  • Clean DOT driving record with a current Class A or B license with a HAZMAT endorsement
  • 40 HAZWOPER Certification with Current 8hr HAZWOPER Refresher
  • DOT and RCRA Training
  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) Card (must be acquired prior to starting work)
  • OSHA 10hr Training Certificate

Field Service Supervisor/ Foreman

The Field Service Supervisor/ Foreman is responsible for the direct supervision of Field Technicians including ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to and job requirements (budget and schedule) are met. 
(Massachusetts/Rhode Island area)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Enforce the policies and procedures as they relate to Health & Safety as measured by the districts health and safety record.
• Meet with customers as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and to resolve any pending complaints or issues.
• Participate in joint calls with specialists as needed and maintain a professional image when dealing with customers.

• Manage large scale field service and emergency response projects when directed.
• Understand and work with the Coordinator in the communication of manpower, equipment and resources required to complete field service and emergency response projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

CDL – Class A Driver with Crew Responsibilities

Description

Responsibilities
• This driving position includes crew duties, working with the crew out of the truck as needed
• Vac Truck and roll off experience required
• Operation of vacuum, roll-off, tractor with tanker/box trailer, lowboy for CDL A
• Position will be part of a spill team in an on call rotation,
• Driving commercial vehicles to support Company’s Environmental Services projects.
• Maintain all DOT and OSHA certifications as required to drive a CDL truck and possibly, while transporting Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Materials.
• Practice Safe work Practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
• Perform duties as a member of the 24-hr rotating On-Call Emergency Response Team to respond to emergencies spills and other environmental emergencies.
• Perform pre and post checks on all vehicles driven
• Adhere to all regulations regarding the transportation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste.
• Perform other duties such as Service Technician tasks as part of our team-based operations philosophy. These additional duties are an essential function of the job. Drivers are expected to perform Clean-up tasks, power wash, and other labor tasks associated with Industrial Maintenance and Emergency Response work.

Qualifications
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Criminal Background.
• CDL Class A License with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement

• Maintain and protect equipment in excellent condition.
• Ability to operate a commercial vehicle in a safe manner at all times.
